My work bridges functional pottery and sculpture, inspired by the sea and the shore. I began with wheel-thrown vessels—mugs, bowls, and vases—then found new meaning by altering them with sculptural forms: octopus tentacles curling around the surface, or barnacles clustered like living ornaments. These additions carry both curiosity and symbolism, reflecting my identity as a maker, a mother, and a homemaker.

Beach stones also ground my practice. To me, rocks are witnesses to time—ancient, enduring, and symbolic of place. Sculptural stone cairns speak of balance and guidance, while hag stones become charms or portals into possibility. They remind me to slow down, notice, and find beauty in what is often overlooked.

The ocean is ever-present in my work: mysterious, sustaining, and powerful. In clay, I explore its dual nature—harsh yet nurturing, fragile yet enduring. Through stone and sea, my sculptures invite pause and reflection, offering symbols of resilience, guidance, and wonder.
